I could talk all day about New Brunswick tourism and the amazing operators and NB exclusive features that make people around the world keen to visit. Our province is shouting its awesomeness from the rooftops, particularly through its #ExploreNB marketing and promotion efforts. I welcomed federal tourism minister Soraya Martinez Ferrada to the province today and talked about partnerships to make our tourism sector even stronger. Thank you Fredericton MP Jenica Atwin for joining us.

This a $300 support to help households earning under $70,000 make ends meet as we all face rising costs everywhere, from the grocery store to the gas station. Because the province doesn’t have access to federal Revenue Canada data, we can only identify those who qualify through this application form. I hope everyone who fits this criteria gets their application in for this help.

To qualify, applicants must:

-apply by June 30

-be a New Brunswick resident at the time of their application

-have been aged 19 or older as of Dec. 31, 2023

-filed a New Brunswick tax return for 2022 or 2023

-had family net income of $70,000 or less for that taxation year (2022 or 2023)

-had family working income of $3,000 or more for that taxation year (2022 or 2023).

Artists make our province better, and the people who work closest to them play an important supportive role. I appreciated a visit to my Fredericton office by the ArtsNB board of directors to hear more about what the funding agency we work so closely with is doing to facilitate and promote the creation of art in the province and administer funding programs for professional artists in NB. Thank you for the work you do.
